Job Summary:
We are looking for a competent Logistics Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-orientated approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
- Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
- Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
- Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
- Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
- Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
- Prepare accurate reports for upper management
- Develop and implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies
- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery
- Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- Analyze logistics data to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies in logistics processes
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Logistics, Suppl Chain Management, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- International Logistics Experience preferred 2 years plus, supply chain management or relevant field
- Certification in logistics (e.g., CILT, APICS) is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience as logistics coordinator
- Experience in customer service will be appreciated
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- International Logistics Experience preferred 2 years plus, supply chain management or relevant field
Working conditions:
- Typically works in an office environment
- Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays, not often
Physical requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
