At Vesta Foodservice you will be working with some of the most prestigious restaurants, hotels and food service operations in the world.
We are currently in need of a PURCHASING COORDINATOR for our Corporate Headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Position Summary: Place daily orders and manage inventory levels of programmed items.
Responsibilities:
· Review Short Sheet daily and provide updates on availability and substitutions.
· Review overdue POs and update the system expected dates.
· Review Pre-order Report and identify items that need to be ordered or communicate availability to Sales.
· Review Items Pending in Receiving report and coordinate resolutions.
· Review par sheets, place purchase orders, and communicate shortages.
· Review Short and Sub Report and communicate shortages as necessary.
· Work with Buyers on transportation of goods into distribution centers.
· Work with Buyers to maintain accurate costing, origins, and condition codes in purchase orders.
· Review items beyond projected days of inventory reports.
· Assist with weekly and monthly vendor profile price updates.
Requirements:
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Passion for food.
· Some experience placing orders with suppliers preferred.
· 4 Year degree preferred.
