POSITION TITLE: Financial Assistant to Director of Finance and Accounting
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Finance and Accounting
DEPARTMENT: Personal Affairs Management (PAM) Finance
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review annual court accountings for multiple estates.
- Assist supervisor in securing and re-titling bank accounts, investment accounts, annuity contracts, insurance policies including scanning, analysis, and reconciliation.
- Research and review legal documents, estate documents, financial statements, client’s invoices, contracts and prepare reports for immediate supervisor.
- Maintaining changes in accounting software NetSuite for PAM department
- Participate in staff meetings by bringing relevant issues for discussion and review, preparation of agendas and presentations as needed.
- Perform basic administrative tasks to include all agency paperwork, statistical reporting, correspondence, and client related service.
- Complies with all Agency policies and applicable federal and state law, adherence to all elements of the compliance plan.
- Perform all other duties as may be necessary or requested by immediate supervisor.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Ability to establish positive professional working relationships with clients and their families, co-workers, financial institutions, Commissioners of Accounts, and members of the community.
· Knowledge and work experience in the areas of bookkeeping, personal finances, insurance, and benefits. Paralegal experience is also preferred.
· Proficient in use of NetSuite, QuickBooks, Outlook, Word, Access and Excel or other related programs used by the Agency.
· Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements:
May include: lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for one hour at a time.

Combination of education and or relevant work experience
