Construction Force Services...has a client in need of a power plant inventory manager for a 3-4 month project in Queens, NY. The right Candidate will oversee and manage the inventory of materials, spare parts, and equipment required for the operation and maintenance of the power plant. This role ensures that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to support the plant's operations and maintenance activities. The Inventory Manager will utilize a CMMS program to track and manage inventory, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities are:
- 1. Inventory Management: - Maintain accurate records of all inventory items, including parts, materials, and equipment. - Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for maintenance and operational needs without overstocking. - Conduct regular inventory audits to verify physical stock against CMMS records. - Implement and manage a system for tracking inventory usage, forecasting future needs, and ordering supplies in a timely manner.
- 2. CMMS Program Utilization: - Input and update data in the CMMS, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records. - Generate and analyze reports from the CMMS to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- 3. Procurement and Supplier Management: - Evaluate and select vendors based on reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness. - Coordinate with the procurement department to process purchase orders and manage deliveries.
- 4. Maintenance and Operations Support: - Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to understand their inventory needs and provide timely support. - Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities by providing accurate inventory data.
- 5. Continuous Improvement: - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency and accuracy.
- 6. Compliance and Safety: - Maintain proper storage conditions for inventory items to prevent damage and ensure safety. - Conduct safety inspections and audits of inventory storage areas. Certification in supply chain management or inventory management, CMMS experience is required.
- Your schedule is flexible, hourly pay is $45-50 per hour.
