POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Shipping Coordinator/Truck Driver
Department: Shipping
Reports To: Business Systems Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position is an integral part in the management of all aspects of the assigned job responsibilities and functions in relationship to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and
People, to support the overall company goals and objectives.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Compliance to the Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, Safety
Practices, and Management Operating System documents relative to job duties.
2. Comply with company rules and practices in compliance with the Employee Handbook
3. Comply with 5S housekeeping practices and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
4. Support and participate in Lean Enterprise/Manufacturing initiatives throughout the organization including but not limited to Kaizen, Kan Ban, OEE, SMED, 6 Sigma, etc.
5. Support specific objectives and targets that support departmental company goals and objectives.
6. Responsible for meeting or exceeding requirements for cost targets within your functional areas, including but not be limited to: meet/exceed hourly production rates, reducing scrap, consistent conformance to customer requirements, maintaining production tooling, meet/exceed customer delivery schedules, etc.
7. Responsible for promoting and demonstrating a team philosophy in accomplishing the division’s goals and objectives.
8. Be instrumental in achieving divisional safety goals by working in a safe manner and reporting hazardous conditions to management through the proper channels.
9. Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
1. Always operate the hilo in a safe manner, following all rules, regulations and procedures. It is the hilo operator’s responsibility to prevent and avoid accidents.
2. Manage the daily hilo inspections and file documentation accordingly.
3. Assist with cycle count and full inventory of all products.
4. Ensure material is transported internally to maintain production schedule.
5. Coordinate information flow as required for accounting, purchasing and material control.

6. Complete all paperwork and trip reports for trucks as required.
7. Coordinate outbound shipments as required, including: a. Track requirements via ERP system, customer portals and outsourced EDI systems b. Call to schedule trucks for shipments when AAC is required to set up the transportation c. Input and send Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) information via appropriate EDI providers.
8. Issue all Honda finished goods labels as needed. Manage barcode shipping labels and all shipping paperwork.
9. Verify counts and/or weights of incoming and outbound material. Including returnable containers.
10. Manage repacking of product and sorting of returnable containers as needed.
11. Ensure that FIFO is followed throughout the production process as well as in the finished goods warehouse areas. Rotate stock as required.
12. Maintain a DOT license to drive straight truck (chauffer’s license). Ensure that DOT required physicals are kept up to date.
13. Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, following all rules, regulations and procedures.
14. Ability to stand 8 – 10 hours, twist, turn, and bend to the floor.
15. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
16. Perform other duties as required.
PREREQUISITE
High School diploma /GED or prior work experience
Computer experience
Basic understanding of general warehouse and shipping processes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
