· Ensure all human resources policies and procedures are consistently administered.
· Ensure the plant is adequately staffed through recruiting, scheduling interviews and hiring appropriate candidates for all open positions.
· Work closely with managers to address any performance management issues that may arise.
· Ensure employees hours are accurately captured, discrepancies are corrected and reported to managers on a daily basis.
· Ensure all human resources reports are updated and disseminated to interested parties.
· Write and mail termination letters.
· Administer weekly payroll edits including inputting new hires, updating employee profiles, editing punches & terminations and all required paperwork.
· Walk new employees through new hire paperwork.
· Must have the ability to compile and analyze data and present findings to plant management.
· Keep HR Manager informed of any updates, new hires or terminations weekly.
· Take attendance for all shifts daily and log into the point system.
· Keep an updated file for each employee that includes: employee photos, new hire paperwork, training, medical notes etc.
· Input time off requests into the payroll system.
· Work with company department managers to determine purchasing needs and requirements for production and office products.
· Perform and submit a weekly packaging inventory.
· Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders (POs), invoice creation, pricing verification.
· Send PO, order confirmation, invoice and packing slip for payment.
· Populate production orders each day using WBuy and FDS. Submit orders to appropriate personnel.
· Keep an organized filing system for all invoices and related paperwork.
· Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
· Other duties as assigned
