Midwest Anesthesia and Pain Management has clinics located in Omaha and Fremont Nebraska and manages patients with acute and chronic pain management needs. We utilize both medication and interventional techniques to offer our patients’ the most comprehensive approaches to aid in their therapy. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to work under the supervision of a physician to provide compassionate, high quality care to our patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical exams, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment.
- Order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, MRI, C-T scan, lab tests and proficient in interpreting results.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as, aspiration and injection of joints and bursas, myofascial injections.
- Prescribe medications and treatment regime as appropriate to medical condition.
- Monitor and maintain drug screen program.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed pharmacologic and therapeutic regime.
- Communicates patient’s needs, diagnosis and coarse of treatment with the supervising physician.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously deal with patients, families, staff and physicians.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record, strong computer skills.
- Ability to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast paced work environment while maintaining excellent customer service and team interactions.
Requirements
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in the State of Nebraska
- Must have and maintain a current DEA license without restrictions
