Position Overview
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving sales growth and profitability within the designated Western US territory. In this pivotal role, you will manage direct accounts and lead a network of broker sales professionals. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategic sales plans, building and nurturing strong relationships with key accounts, and maximizing revenue and market share.
From your deep understanding of the industry and consumer trends, you will identify and capitalize on market opportunities to achieve stated sales targets. This position offers remote work eligibility within the sales organization and is ideally located near a major international airport to facility travel. The role requires up to 80% domestic travel and reports directly to the Head of Sales/Chief Customer Officer.
Job Duties to include but not limited to:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company goals within the Northeast region.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of broker sales representatives to ensure high performance and collaboration.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
- Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to anticipate customer needs and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align strategies and initiatives.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and budgets to senior management.
- Monitor competitor activity and market conditions to adjust strategies and tactics as needed.
- Travel within the region to meet with customers, attend industry events, and conduct sales meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive food experience in sales management within CPG. Strong preference for snack/confectionery, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and a passion for driving business growth.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
