Requirements of the Position:
- At least 3 years of experience performing manufacturing machinery maintenance in heavy industrial setting
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Reports Directly to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate welding machines (Miller and Lincoln)
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
- Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Able to read and understand troubleshooting manuals, repair procedures, and wiring diagrams
- Proactively inspect and maintain equipment to help avoid costly pre-mature failures
- Install, adjust and repair new weld equipment and special purpose machines used in conjunction with welding operations.
- Execute and maintain preventative maintenance schedule for all plant weld and weld accessory equipment
- Operate electric meters and a variety of hand and power tools required to repair, grease, weld, cut, and change components. Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
- Establish and maintain a test bench used to determine repairs and post repair operations.
- Discuss any repairs that fall outside of the Technical Manual with the Maintenance Supervisor for approval. Ensure the maintenance shop and tools are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
- Communicates with management on maintenance schedules, repair parts, and production needs
- Establish good working relationships with factory representatives and vendors – act in the capacity of the “voice of W International” for all Weld repair needs.
- Review all processes and procedures seeking ways to increase safety and productivity
- Follow all OSHA and plant safety rules including lock-out tag-out, etc.; Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and plant procedures
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Report any unsafe work conditions or practice to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade School certification or degree in industrial or electrical maintenance highly preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and machines without supervision
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing weld machines and associated weld equipment.
