Position Summary
Provide quality mail and customer service to the LMU community and support an efficient Distribution Center operation by coordinating, scheduling and processing Standard (Bulk) mailings.
Position Specific Accountabilities
¢ Receives, logs, sorts, delivers and tracks accountable courier packages (FedEx, UPS, UPS, etc.).
¢ Maintains external and internal university database accuracy. E.g. mailing lists, student MSB assignments, delivery stops etc.
¢ Coordinates and executes all aspects of bulk mail projects. Including but not limited to addressing, printing, folding, inserting, stamping, sealing, billing, transporting etc.
¢ Cross train/ fill in for other sub department positions during co-worker absence/s, vacation or temporary workload increase. E.g. Mail Counter, Mail Processing, Front Counter Clerk, Shipping and Receiving etc.
¢ Researches and routes unidentified and misaddressed parcels.
¢ Identify and resolve customer package inquiries. E.g. miss delivery, loss, theft, retrieval etc.
¢ Coordinates student recruitment, scheduling, and discipline.
¢ Maintains accurate records daily/monthly accounting of customer inquiries and fulfillment of requests.
¢ Generate production analysis reports and audits as needed.
¢ Promptly informs supervisor of potential problems or customer concerns.
¢ Performs other duties as assigned.

Requisite Qualifications
¢ Typically a High School diploma. Some college classes or training in business, business machines, and customer service. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
¢ Minimum two years of hands-on experience in a heavy mail-processing environment, e.g. mail house, preferred. Mailing and addressing equipment experience.
¢ Experience with mail equipment such as postage meters and bulk mailing machines.
¢ Working knowledge of US postal regulations and ability to interpret postal regulations.
¢ Experience with managing and maintaining client data lists.
¢ Experience with file conversions, data hygiene, merge/purge dupe match processing.
¢ Experience with data cleansing/standardization per USPS regulations.
¢ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat, Google Gmail, Docs and Sheets.
¢ Experience with processing mail using a computerized tracking system.
¢ Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers and supervisors.
¢ Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which require arduous exertion involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching, and may involve the handling of heavy containers of mail and parcels weighing up to 50 pounds.
¢ Requires valid California driver's license. Must maintain a "satisfactory" driving record as evidenced by DMV record.

Salary range
$18.24 - $26.15 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
