Plant Accounting Clerk / Purchasing Clerk
Miwon Specialty Chemical Co. Ltd. is seeking a Full Time Plant Accounting & Purchasing Clerk. Miwon produces and supplies raw materials for eco-friendly UV/EB curing systems that are utilized in a variety of applications, including inks for food packaging; special coatings for wood, plastic and metal; and in adhesives for DVD/Blu-ray discs and mobile phones. This is a full-time, onsite position housed in Miwon’s 65,000-square-foot production facility located in Columbia, S.C.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide administrative support and responsibility for key tasks, and to staff, to include key areas of: general accounting, raw material tracking, purchasing, shipping, personal management, office support, Hazardous Waste handling, etc.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Operate purchase invoice and order systems, process accounts receivable and accounts payable through ERP systems, to include petty cash, prepare bank reconciliations and work to all monthly deadlines.
- Prepare written materials and electronic purchasing information (e.g., lists, control logs, reports, year and accruals, etc.).
- Process financial data and documents (e.g., bids, incoming purchase requisitions, purchase orders, mail, etc.).
- Manage incoming orders and raw material tracking, to include BOL, paperwork, and label printing for both logistics use (truckers) and Miwon operator use (logistics and operations)
- Support Office manager in preparing monthly, annual and periodical returns.
- Assist with end of year accounting procedures and annual financial audits
- Perform Receptionist/Administrative support for Finance, HR, Operations, SHE.
- Perform clerical functions incidental to administrative activities.
- Maintain a general accounting and financial records system, in accordance with generally accepted governmental accounting principles and procedures
- Support management of internal/external education programs, such as technical schools.
- Serve as back-up for Customer Service Specialist
- Maintain and re-stock office supplies as needed
- Monitor and use office equipment and materials (computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, physical files, etc.)
- HR duty support for new hires, to include file management, and interface with benefits management.
- Coordinate Hazardous Waste shipments per SCDHEC guidelines. Paperwork must be checked, filled out properly and filed correctly. Assist Crandall in completing required Quarterly reports, and file appropriately. Take on-line Crandall Haz Waste training class and pass competency exam.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Business or accounting degree desired, but not required (with sufficient experience).
- Three years of experience in manufacturing, where accounting and purchasing systems have been used. Comfortable with generally accepted accounting procedures.
- Experience with accounting software programs, such as an ERP software . Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular focus on spreadsheet creation and management.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail. Being organized and paying attention to procedures and details is vital to being successful at Miwon.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal). Must speak fluent English
- Regular attendance is expected.
