The Back-of-House (BOH) Associate is responsible for assisting with the movement, replenishment, and reconciliation of sales floor inventory. This position assists and directly reports to the Back-of-House (BOH) Senior Inventory Lead. Back-of-House Associates will print and apply inventory labels to received goods while adhering to Qube store policy and state compliance ordinances. This position requires a high amount of attention to detail to maintain the accuracy of inventory count.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Attention to Detail: Ensure meticulous labeling of all products received and stocked on the sales floor to uphold accurate inventory records.
- Inventory Replenishment: Assist in replenishing inventory, moving products from containers to the vault and from the vault to the sales floor, while ensuring shelves are well-stocked.
- Incoming Shipments: Record detailed information for incoming shipments, accurately counting items to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Database Management: Enter shipment data into the database system, maintaining comprehensive records of all inventory movements.
- Inventory Overhauls: Participate in annual and semi-annual inventory overhauls to reconcile stock counts and ensure overall inventory accuracy.
- Product Bundling and Organization: Bundle and label products as needed, scan items into inventory systems, and organize shelves for efficient inventory management.
- Area Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the back-of-house area where inventory is stored, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stock Rotation: Rotate stock regularly to prevent expired or outdated products from being sold, and ensure the stored area is clean and up-to-date.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Assist with month-to-month inventory reconciliation to identify any discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Product Confidentiality: Maintain a clear understanding of product confidentiality, including Certificate of Analysis (COA) documents and strain information.
- Compliance Monitoring: Identify and report any non-compliance issues within inventory management processes to management promptly.
Work Environment:
- Ability to perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods (at least eight hours).
- Capability to bend at the waist, kneel, and crouch to access products stored in various locations.
- Strength to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to one hundred to two hundred pounds.
- Visual acuity required for viewing screens, fine print, and accurately reading labels and product information.
- Manual dexterity needed for data entry and handling inventory items with precision.
- Work in a confined vault space with limited natural light, with a consistent moderate background noise level.
Key Requirements:
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management processes.
- Effective communication skills, including oral, written, and computer-based communication.
- Familiarity with computer software and functions relevant to the position, including inventory management systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and experience in the cannabis industry, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule as needed to meet operational demands.
