Job Summary:
The Director of Product Management and Services holds a critical role in overseeing the development, execution and success of the clinical applications product portfolio. The role combines strategic vision, cross-functional collaboration, and technical expertise to drive product innovation, troubleshooting services and end-user satisfaction. The incumbent will partner continuously with stakeholders across ArchWell Health bringing product enhancements and operational workflow efficiencies to end users. As ArchWell Health grows, this leader will need to strategize the scalability of the clinical applications portfolio of capabilities and services to meet organizations goals and objectives. This leader will also be continually innovating and transforming the product and services team to build skills and ability in the team. In an ever-changing environment of medical technologies, this leader will need to remain current and on the cutting-edge software, devices and integration solutions which work to improve end user experience and delivery of care for AWH members. This person has broad expertise in EHR products and services, enhancement and delivery methodologies, and helpdesk support. She/he/they have strong analytic, technical, leadership and management skills. The Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the deployment of clinical application products and services. The Director provides technical and development consultation to all Markets reporting to the Vice President Market Enablement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Clinical Applications Product Management
- Incorporates ArchWell Health’s vision, missions and values in goals and programs within area of responsibility.
- Develops and manages departmental initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Formulates objectives, goals and strategies collaboratively with other stakeholders and direct reports.
- Prepares and delivers reports to operational leadership and team colleagues outlining progress toward meeting annual goals and objectives, to include performance related to objectives of the organization.
- Manage the portfolio for the team, ensuring training deployment is effective and maintained to meet operational needs, while developing a roadmap to continue to remain current and in alignment with industry trends.
- Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to align product strategy with overall business goals.
- Ensure that product development initiatives are in line with the company’s vision and mission.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversees all application upgrades and enhancement projects, ensures projects are managed to established methodologies, time lines and budget.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and user behavior to identify growth opportunities.
- Leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product features, pricing, and enhancements.
- Drive innovation within the product organization, exploring new technologies and solutions.
- Act as a bridge between product teams, executives, and other stakeholders.
- Present product roadmaps, updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical information systems aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements in healthcare and information systems to inform strategic decisions.
- Oversee the implementation of clinical information systems, ensuring successful integration with existing systems and workflows.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage system upgrades.
- Gather and prioritize requirements from stakeholders, ensuring the continuous alignment of the system with evolving organizational needs.
- Facilitate the development of new features, improvements, and innovations in collaboration with relevant teams, emphasizing user-centric design and functionality.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting professional development.
- Maintain technical product roadmap to support clinical strategy.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and other stakeholders to understand their needs, and identify platform enhancements and new features and incorporate feedback into system improvements.
- Communicate product changes to business owners.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements to inform product development strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the healthcare IT landscape.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
- Continuously optimize clinical information systems to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Lead initiatives to improve the quality of patient care through the effective use of clinical information systems.
- Enforce policies related to the use, access, and security of clinical information systems.
- Understand the management of clinical data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills particularly in a geographically spread organization.
- Proven experience in developing clinical applications and support services, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of product strategies and development of strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse groups of stakeholders including senior management, clinical, administrative, revenue cycle and operational customers, vendors and others with varying degrees of technical and operational experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and be result oriented.
- Strong analytical skills to include the understanding and documentation of business/clinical processes and the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes
- Ability to manage project implementation teams and individuals and monitors the deliverables of each team to ensure milestone and on-budget completion.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or other applicable area; Master's degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of product management experience, with a minimum of the last 5 years in healthcare setting required
- 3-5 years supervisory or management experience required
- Familiarity with agile/waterfall project management methodologies, user-centered design, and customer-centric approaches preferred
- EHR technical and development background is required
