Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of bakery items, including bread, pastries, and desserts
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and presentation of baked goods
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies
- Sanitize work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Package and label bakery products for display or customer pickup
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting with product selection
- Bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the bakery department
Qualifications:
- Basic math skills to accurately measure ingredients and perform retail math calculations
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions to produce consistent results
- Strong attention to detail to ensure proper portioning and presentation of baked goods
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Note: Prior experience in a bakery or food service setting is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
