We currently have an opening for a full-time REI/IVF Nurse to join our highly motivated and results-driven team.
Our only purpose is to help our patients become a family. The IVF Nurse is a critical partner in this mission.
The REI/IVF Nurse contributes to the Physician’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary pertinent to the patient care plan; recommends possible options as appropriate and implements physician directives. The REI/IVF Nurse establishes an empathic patient experience by providing emotional and psychological support to all our patients. This position will assist with in-office procedures and do basic hands-on patient care as needed.
The ideal candidate will have reproductive medicine experience or a comprehensive overview of women’s healthcare as the foundation to learning the nurse’s function in reproductive medicine. In addition, and especially important, the ideal candidate should have the ability to quickly establish credibility, confidence, and trust with our patients.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team toward positive patient outcomes. It is a leadership position and seen as a steadying influence - a source of sound judgment.
Education and Experience:
- North Carolina RN license without limitations. BSN Degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience in women’s healthcare. Reproductive medicine experience preferred
- BCLS/ACLS and/or IV certification a plus. (We will sponsor appropriate candidate for one or more of these certifications if necessary.)
- High level listening and counseling skills. Excellent telephone presentation
- Resourceful and well organized. Committed to detail and follow-up
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Most have proficient computer skills; both EMR and Microsoft office required
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Must relate well with patients, peers, physicians, and management. Must be genuinely concerned for people, respectful, and be able to use diplomacy and tact in tense situations
- Ability to work in a high-standard stressful environment
- Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
