Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to stay focused and on task while maintaining attention to detail. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely medical collections along with strong follow up and troubleshooting skills. Above par level of customer service is required.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze patient medical records and billing records to identify any discrepancies or errors
- Apply CPT and ICD-10 coding standards to ensure accurate and compliant coding practices
- Utilize medical billing systems to process and manage insurance, personal injury and patient claims
- Conduct thorough research to locate and contact patients with outstanding balances
- Negotiate with insurance companies and law office to resolve any billing issues
Experience:
The ideal candidate ideally will have a strong background in medical collections. Experience with medical billing systems and a proven track record of success in collections are highly valued. Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
