Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our periodontal practice as a Treatment Coordinator. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless coordination of treatment plans and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities:
Patient Consultations:
- Conduct initial consultations with patients to discuss treatment plans recommended by the provider.
- Clearly explain treatment options, procedures, and associated costs to patients.
- Address patient concerns, questions, and provide reassurance as needed.
Treatment Coordination:
- Collaborate with the periodontist to develop comprehensive treatment plans based on the patient's needs.
- Coordinate appointments and procedures, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimal wait times for patients.
- Communicate treatment plans to patients and assist in obtaining necessary consent forms.
- Manage patients' surgical cases pre-op and post-op and address any concerns.
- Manage surgical prescriptions and medical clearances for all surgery patients
- Collaborate with our office CRNA for intravenous sedation cases
Financial Coordination:
- Work closely with the billing and insurance team to estimate and communicate costs to patients.
- Assist patients in understanding insurance coverage, pre-authorizations, and financing options.
- Assist patients in insurance submission for treatment performed including all necessary imaging and documentation
- Process financial transactions, collect payments, and manage patient billing inquiries.
Patient Education:
- Provide educational materials and resources to patients to aid in their understanding of periodontal conditions and recommended treatments.
- Offer post-treatment care instructions and follow-up guidance to ensure patient comfort and recovery.
Records Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, consent forms, and financial agreements.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between the patient, periodontist, and administrative staff.
- Foster open communication to address any patient concerns and ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in dental assisting or administration is a plus.
- Associates degree or Bachelor's degree (required)
- Minimum of one year of treatment coordinating
- Dental Experience and Fee-for-service is a plus
Experience:
- Proven experience in a dental or healthcare setting, preferably in a treatment coordination role.
- Familiarity with dental treatments and procedures is advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in dental software and Google Suite.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
