Position Overview
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) at Breakthrough Autism provide analytic services to clients, including the development, implementation, and oversight of treatment plans that incorporate applied behavior analysis interventions. BCBAs develop client-specific protocols and evaluate data to ensure client progression. They are responsible for training and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians and other support staff, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and practices. Additionally, BCBAs collaborate with families and other professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes for clients.

Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete and submit session notes and log all hours & activities in Outlook Calendar
- Create and develop materials necessary for behavior interventions
- Open and close the office, ensure the completion of chores, and oversee staff duties
- Conduct parent meetings and respond to parents, teachers, staff, and leadership team
- Attend weekly Peer Review, biweekly clinical meetings, and monthly team meetings
- Provide Safety Care training to staff and supervise various techs conducting one-on-one therapy with clients to support effective therapeutic experience
- Support coworkers, collaborate with team members
- Stay up to date on current needs and changes in the company
- Attend 1:1s with supervisor
Clinical Responsibilities
- Develop and assess children using various behavioral assessments as needed, and conduct initial and re-eval assessments for clients
- Provide consultation and training for parents, teachers, and community members, and create recommendations for comprehensive services
- Provide training and supervision as needed, and supervise other techs
- Implement and ensure all ethical and therapeutic practices, and provide ongoing training to individuals engaging with clients
- Create and implement treatment plans and develop and model implementation of treatment plans
- Complete re-authorizations
- Provide parent and family support and training services
- Manage client learning trees and offer early intensive behavioral intervention for children and adolescents who have autism spectrum disorders
- Engage in advanced problem-solving skills and react quickly and effectively during states of crisis
- Create specific skill acquisition and behavior reduction targets, as well as implement scientific, evidence-based therapy services to increase desirable behaviors and decrease behaviors that prevent an individual from living a sustainable, successful, and meaningful lifestyle
- Maintain a minimum of 25 billable hours per week
- Maintain a caseload that falls within our Caseload Equivalency expectation

Necessary Skills/Abilities
- Respond to emails within a 24-hour business day
- Demonstrate proficiency in CentralReach or similar software, as well as Word and Excel
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with BACB and support the most appropriate program implementation
- Complete functional behavior assessments (FBA) and individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) for clients
- Conduct progress updated for clients at the conclusion of each service phase (approx. six months), and facilitate caregiver meetings to teach client-specific skills and increase caregiver independence in supporting clients diagnosed with ASD
Education & Experience
- BCBA Certification required
- LBA Certification required
- Experience working in the field of ABA
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Master’s degree is required, in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field
- Supervision Certification, preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

- Must be able to withstand emotional and physical stress
- Must be able to work mornings and afternoons
