You will support the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Technical Security Program with activities and tasks related to technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM). This is a full-time opportunity for training and for growth.

- Sandia National Labs (SNL) in Albuquerque, NM
- Los Alamos National Labs (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM
- Lawrence Livermore National Labs (LLNL) in Livermore, CA
What You Will Do
You will perform sensitive measurements and surveys of equipment as well as conducting evaluations at a national laboratory under the supervision of certified TSCM technicians and assist in the execution of the Technical Security Operations.
- Operate and maintain sensitive measurement and survey equipment.
- Plan and execute Technical Security evaluations and services IAW DOE Order 470.6, SPB Procedural Guides 1, 2, & 3, and DOE/NNSA policy within prescribed time-frames.
- Prepare thorough and clear classified reports comprehensively detailing evaluation procedures and technical findings.
- Respond to Technical Security discoveries per national, DOE and NNSA policies.
- Provide Technical Threat Briefings, analytical reports, and products to senior level officials
What You Will Need
- Suitable background with relevant experience in physical security, signals analysis, TEMPEST, radio frequency (RF), electrical or electronics engineering, technical surveillance countermeasures, telecommunications, wireless security, cybersecurity, or information assurance.
- Active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret Security Clearance
- 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with extensive use of MS Office products.
- Must be able to attend a 3-month long course at the Interagency Training Center in the Washington D.C. region within two years of hiring and pass this course to become a certified TSCM Technician.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security, cyber, or engineering is preferred.
- Certifications in CompTIA A+, Network+, and Sec+ are preferred
- TSCM or TEMPEST experience with a federal agency is preferred.
