Job Description
The Therapist works under the supervision of the Clinical Director and collaborates to meet the needs of the client within the scope of the role. The therapist assists in direct client care, provides environmental support and facilitates client safety on both the detox and residential units. The therapist has successfully completed and maintains competencies in role specific skills. The therapist provides an environment supportive of the client and family centered model of care.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Skills Assists the Clinical Director in the functional care of clients, ensuring efficient and client centered care appropriate to their ASAM criterion. Performs delegated tasks and communicates all findings/concerns to the multidisciplinary team MDT (Clinical Director, Director of Nursing, Medical Director, Program Director, Executive Director.)
- Provides individual group and family therapy, in a safe, efficient and respectful manner
- Collects, records, and communicates the client's clinical data to the MDT in a timely manner
- Maintains patient and family confidentially at all times
- Responds to patient and family requests promptly,
- Works closely with case management team, aftercare team and nursing team on client aftercare and case management tasks
- Performs and documents patient’s admission, transfer, and discharge tasks as requested
- Promotes quality, safety, regulatory and patient and family satisfaction
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed
- Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.
- Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
- Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.
- Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
- Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
- Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
- Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
- Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

EDUCATION
- Master's degree in Human Service or related field (Social Work, Psychology/Counseling)
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking candidates who hold a Master's degree and are working towards professional licensure (LCSW/LICSW, LMHC, LADC/CADC/CASAC) and have at least 1-2 years post masters work experience. We are committed to excellence in the care we provide to patients with trauma and we are seeing candidates with expertise in supporting patients with PTSD, substance use disorders (SUD), and have group therapy experience. Linguistic diversity is preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
