Position Overview:
Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire HR Business Partner job southeast of Cleveland, OH for our client, a busy manufacturer of quality materials used in the automotive and other industries. This role emphasizes talent attraction, retention, engagement, and development. As an HRBP you will manage and oversee global HR processes and programs at the assigned site, as well as handle routine HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisal, succession planning, employee engagement surveys, compensation and benefits, leaves of absence, compliance with government regulations, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all global HR processes at the plant annually, focusing on efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to understand and implement the organization’s HR and talent strategy, particularly concerning current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
- Provide support and guidance to management and staff on complex, specialized, and sensitive HR issues, including administering routine tasks in delicate situations such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates; work with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
- Develop relationships with local technical schools to promote the employer and create an attractive employment brand.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Create and implement learning and development programs and initiatives to provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Additional Responsibilities
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Stay updated on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Participate in or lead regional HR projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors HRIS (Employee Central, Performance and Goals, Compensation, Recruitment, Succession) is highly desired.
- HR project management experience is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or Business Partner role is preferred.
- Experience with Agile working methodologies is preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly desired.
