administrative and performance-related tasks.
Job Description:
As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the service department
employees and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role will involve managing daily
operations, implementing effective strategies, and maintaining a positive and productive
work environment. This position offers significant opportunities for growth and
development within the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Supervision: Oversee and manage service advisors, technicians, and other
service department staff. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to
company standards.
- Customer Satisfaction: Establish and maintain good working relationships with
customers to encourage repeat and referral business. Resolve any customer
satisfaction issues promptly and effectively.
- Service Drive Management: Ensure the service drive is clear and flowing efficiently.
Monitor service drive processes to guarantee all customers are greeted and assisted
promptly.
- Training and Development: Conduct and oversee training sessions for service advisors
and technicians. Ensure staff complete required training programs (e.g., Acura
and Chris Collins Training).
- Administrative Duties: Assist the Service Director with administrative tasks, including
preparing reports, managing open repair orders, and conducting performance reviews.
- Meeting Coordination: Hold AM meetings to discuss daily goals, potential sales, and
team performance. Encourage team participation and motivation through games and
incentives.
- Process Improvement: Implement and monitor service department processes to
enhance efficiency and profitability. Develop strategies for improving customer
satisfaction and service department performance.
- Inventory Management: Oversee parts inventory and ensure timely ordering and
availability of necessary parts.
- Financial Oversight: Secure and balance all cash transactions and report to the office
as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a service management role within a high-volume, luxury
dealership.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive service processes and repair techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
