**Job Title:** Correctional Officer/Jailer
**Job Summary:**
As a Correctional Officer/ Jailer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within a correctional facility. You will be responsible for overseeing inmates, enforcing rules and regulations, and ensuring the well-being of all individuals within the facility. You will be scheduled 60 to 84 plus hours every two weeks.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to ensure security within the facility
- Enforce discipline and respond to any disturbances or incidents
- Monitor inmate activities and behavior
- Conduct searches for contraband
- Escort inmates within the facility
- Document all activities and incidents through detailed report writing
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary
- Assist in emergency situations
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in conflict management
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures
- Possession of relevant certificates (e.g., correctional officer training)
- Familiarity with militaristic environments
- Proficiency in report writing
- First aid and CPR certification
- Experience with CCTV systems is a plus
