Job Overview: Under pharmacist supervision, a pharmacy technician prepares prescriptions for patients and health professionals and assists with implementing and enforcing policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
§ Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
§ Providing excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and insurers
§ Counting, labeling, and reconstituting prescription medications
§ Inputting and retrieving information through the pharmacy system and point-of-sale system
§ Obtaining refill authorizations from prescribers
§ Processing and preparing third-party insurance claims
§ Maintaining accurate patient and client profiles
§ Assisting the pharmacist with managing inventory
§ Preparing reports related to sales, usage, and inventory
§ Maintaining and cleaning equipment, work areas, and shelves
Required Qualifications and Education:
- At least 18 years of age with a valid Pharmacy Technician license in SC
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Not on the Officer of Inspector General Excluded Parties List
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
- 5+ year of experience in retail pharmacy
Preferred Qualifications and experience:
- 1+ year of experience with Pioneer Pharmacy Software system
- Completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician Immunization training program
- Active/In date CPR certification (BLS for healthcare providers with AED training)

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
