Line Cook
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at The Rib and Chop House. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties:
· Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and instructions from the kitchen manager.
· Operate and maintain kitchen equipment at assigned stations (fry, sauté, steak, and grill).
· Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented attractively.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned station throughout service.
· Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
· Assist with prepping ingredients and ensuring stations are stocked and ready for service.
· Work efficiently under pressure to ensure timely and accurate food preparation during peak hours.
· Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
· Monitor inventory levels at assigned stations and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
· Assist with cleaning and closing duties at the end of each shift, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are properly sanitized.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant culinary position
- Knowledge of knife skills, kitchen equipment, and culinary techniques
- Familiarity with menu planning and food service operations
- Understanding of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training program is a plus
