Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Yale New Haven Health's Northeast Medical Group, you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate nursing care to our patients while performing additional functions under the supervision of physicians/providers. Your dedication and expertise will contribute to conveying a positive image of our practice and ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Perform assigned patient care responsibilities with empathy and professionalism. Establish rapport with patients and families, ensuring they understand the roles of each member of the care delivery team.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient medical records, including sending/receiving and abstracting new patient records into Epic, our electronic medical records system.
- Environmental Support: Set up instruments and equipment according to department protocols, maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment.
- Organizational Duties: Uphold patient autonomy, confidentiality, and dignity while performing all related organizational duties as assigned.
- Chaperone Duties: Assist and/or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma and LPN Diploma are required.
- Experience: 2 years of medical practice experience preferred, demonstrating your commitment to delivering quality care.
- Licensure: Current licensure from the State of Connecticut and/or New York (where necessary) is essential to practice.
- Special Skills: Possess the ability to assist physicians in minor procedures (where applicable). Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills are necessary. Proficiency in EMR and Microsoft Office applications is preferred. CPR certification is desirable, and bilingualism is advantageous.
- Physical Demands: Compliance with vaccination requirements, including MMR, Varivax, Hepatitis B, Tdap, and influenza, is mandatory.
