Kitchen Supervisor
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring quality food service, team management, and adherence to food safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff in daily food preparation activities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and procedures
- Coordinate with restaurant management to meet customer needs and resolve any issues promptly
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions for timely repairs
- Implement cost-control measures to optimize kitchen operations while maintaining quality standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in food service management, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse kitchen staff
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe development, and restaurant operations
- Understanding of food safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with team members and management
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment
