UW Medical Center-Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy Unit.
ABOUT OUR ENDOSCOPY UNIT
We are a high-volume procedural unit
We have 3 rooms and see close to 24 patients each day
RNs provide procedural support for therapeutic, diagnostic, and screening GI services and bronchoscopies
WORK SCHEDULE
4x10 shift schedule
Primarily day shifts, Monday-Friday, with on call responsibilities for off hours cases
On call responsibilities include one weekend per month
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist providers during endoscopic procedures
Provide patient care before, during, and after conscious sedation
Educate patients
Administer medication
Use and maintain endoscopic equipment
Help manage emergencies and complications
Promote efficient patient flow by assisting with patient admission, phone triage, and record keeping
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of recent procedural or gastroenterology nursing experience
Active BLS
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
