Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Lending Consultant is to assist members and prospects with their consumer lending needs. They will receive internal and external calls and online applications from Telhio members and prospects. The Lending Consultant will uncover their lending needs, recommend solutions, and maintain and expand relationships with additional products and services that benefit the member or prospect. The Lending Consultant will also proactively contact current Telhio members and prospects. Targeted members and prospects will vary and may include: indirect loan members, members and prospects who received Telhio marketing or offers, members with maturing CDs and members with existing home equity loans that will soon enter "balloon" status. This role collaborates within the Consumer Lending team and with other departments including the branch network.
What you will do:
- Receives internal and external calls from members or prospects to uncover their lending needs.
- Contacts members and prospects who submitted online consumer loan applications to review borrowing needs and submits completed applications to underwriting.
- Ensures complete and accurate consumer loan applications are submitted for underwriting and processing.
- Acts as a problem solver who recommends solutions for the member or prospect.
- Conducts effective loan interview conversations with members and prospects while exploring non-lending financial needs.
- Refers non-lending opportunities to the appropriate department or service partner.
- Proactively contacts current Telhio members and prospects using outbound calling, email and other channels to establish, maintain and expand relationships with additional products and services that benefit the member or prospect.
- Plans outbound activities to maximize lead opportunities while tracking activities and results.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
1-3 years Banking experience Preferred
