Seeking Business Development Professional Interested in Becoming an Entrepreneur
Aspatore Ventures is seeking a business development looking to do more and grow in their career. We develop and self-fund a portfolio of startup brands and look for select individuals to help a particular startup grow and generate revenue in new ways. The role is ideal for someone with business development experience that is also an aspiring entrepreneur, and would thrive with the responsibility and excitement of launching a startup, and also appreciate the safety and security of a larger company backing the efforts. This position requiring resourcefulness, versatility, and a high level of responsibility, offering significant personal and professional growth opportunities for someone who can bootstrap their way to success.
For this role, the startup is called WonderDads, and it helps busy Dads with kids age 0-16 embrace the childhood years (www.WonderDads.com). Dads sign up for weekly activities, an online account, and a personalized roadmap that helps them go above and beyond as a Dad. The predominant growth path we see is doing business development deals with brands trying to get more Dads to buy their product (so selling in a collaboration/focus group type relationship), as well as deals with the HR/Benefits person at companies to sign up for WonderDads for all the Dads at their company to help with work-life balance throughout all of childhood (not just offering 2 weeks when a baby is born).
The primary purpose of the role is to test and scale the various types of business development opportunities and get them consistently producing revenue within 3-6 months time. You will be responsible for all aspects of doing this, but will also have the assistance of external resources utilized and shared across all of Aspatore’s companies for customer service, design, finance and have full access to all our technology stack and resources. You will also be responsible for parts of customer experience and conducting individual focus groups, but this will only be approximately 20% of how you spend your time as it is critical in also helping to understand how to position the brand. The role reports into the Chief Growth Officer for Aspatore Ventures, who will provide daily guidance and feedback as you test your growth paths and begin generating revenue.
If selected, your entire first week is dedicated to learning various aspects of entrepreneurship from the Aspatore Ventures management team, understanding the resources at your disposal, and getting ready to attack the various growth paths to begin generating revenue as quickly as possible. You need to be comfortable working on your own, constantly launching tests, and being very driven to generate revenue as the overwhelming goal that matters at this stage of the startup. As revenue goals are met, additional resources will be granted to grow the team and begin scaling, along with equity incentives and other bonus opportunities.

- Must have 5+ years doing business development deals that immediately generated revenue for the business
- Experience with prospecting in a variety of ways - social media, email, LinkedIn and other creative ways to get in front of potential partners
- Experience in a fast-paced or startup working environment where you were responsible for wearing lots of hats and constantly launching new tests
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be comfortable with revenue goals and understand this is the only true marker for this stage that counts
- Must enjoy problem-solving and multi-tasking, be a self starter and be efficient working remotely
- Must be energetic and positive - hitting dead-ends doesn’t disappoint you, you simply try another way
- The passion and work ethic to be an entrepreneur and excited to get in on the ground floor of an exciting company

- Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $100,000 annual salary, $10,000 bonus at 6-months for revenue goals achieved, plus ongoing bonuses, future equity
