Overview:
Senator Sharon Y. Moriwaki is seeking a creative and motivated individual to join her campaign team as a Social Media and Content Creator. This role is perfect for someone passionate about politics, community engagement, and digital communication.
This role is from July to November 2024. The minimum work time is 20 hours per week, but applicants should be aware that this can change depending on unexpected situations during the campaign season.
Duties:
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to enhance the Senator's online presence.
- Create engaging content for Instagram and Facebook (including graphics, photos, and more).
- Photograph the Senator at community events for social media and campaign materials.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Track and analyze social media platforms to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Stay up to date with the latest digital trends and best practices.
- Coordinate and assist members of the campaign team with digital newsletters.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience in social media management and digital marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and tools.
- Proficiency in photography, video production, and graphic design.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience with Adobe software or Canva.
- Ability to collaborate with members of the campaign team for social media strategies.
- Knowledge of Hawaiʻi's political landscape and community issues in Senate District 12.
