About New Mexico Military Institute:NMMI is a state-supported, co-educational college preparatory high school and junior college, complete with Junior and Senior ROTC programs. With a Corps of Cadets numbering up to 1000 young men and women, NMMI provides an accredited college preparatory curriculum on the high school level and a transfer junior college, operating within a conductive military environment.
Position Under general supervision of the Human Resources/Title IX Director, the Administrative Specialist - Human Resources will conduct and ensure efficient human resources processes to support the needs of the IPA, high school, and junior college faculty/staff within all components of the human resources department. The Administrative Specialist - Human Resources will assist the Human Resources Director in working toward all NMMI Human Resources/Title IX strategic initiatives. This is an exempt, 12-month, full-time position. The salary range is $40,163.00 ($19.31 per hour). The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
· Performs clerical and administrative support of the Human Resources/Title IX Director and Human Resources office.
· Maintains faculty/staff personnel records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
· Maintains tracking needs for the department, such as mandatory HR/Title IX training, certifications/licensures, a sick leave bank, etc.
· Creates and issues the monthly newsletter with the approval of the HR Director.
· Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
· Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to learn and perform all aspects of the Human Resources Department.
· Must be proficient with the English language, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and communication.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Associate’s Degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or 5 years equivalent Human Resources or Administrative experience.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or similar field.
· Bilingual.
