The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for the financial review of Invoices, Cash/Credit Review, Systems Support of PMS, ProfitSword, Timberline/TimberScan and CITY/CTAC, ONQ and Agilysys. Accounting Manager will be supervising staff at both the Hartford Marriott Downtown (2) and DoubleTree Hartford (1) and is expected to strictly adhere to all Waterford Hotel Group accounting policies and procedures.

Must have three to five accounting experience with Bank and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations along with Income Statement Revenue Audit/Review and accounts payable/bookkeeping experience, preferably automated Payable/General Ledger system.
- Review all Accounts payable invoices and process check runs into accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reviews Daily Revenue Report and various adjustments to the ProfitSword system.
- Review Cash, Credit Card, Bank ACH/Wire and credit card chargebacks.
- As necessary, assist guests with questions concerning charges on their credit card statements
- Monthly rewards and gift certificate reconciliation
- Post credit card payments from clients when appropriate
- Maintain all appropriate tax exempt and certificates of insurance documents in excel.
- Comply with all federal, state and local policies and guidelines and prepare all Occupancy and Sales Tax Returns.
- Review and update all licenses and permits.
- Complete various Month End Balance Sheet Reconciliation for both properties.
- Assist in any other projects assigned
- Must have knowledge of bookkeeping and computers with three to five years of accounts payable/bookkeeping experience, preferably automated Accounts Payable/General Ledger system. Prior balance sheet reconciliation experience also a plus.
- Must have hands on experience with Microsoft Excel and be able to understand and write basic formulas (add/subtract/multiply/divide) and have effective oral and written communication skills
- Hospitality Accounting and/or Operations experience required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and be drug free.
