Big Fig Mattress is a Direct to Consumer E-commerce company in Cleveland, OH is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst. The Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivables, processing payroll, sales tax payments, monthly and quarterly reporting and conducting other tasks related to finance and accounting. This role is integral to company operations and supporting the daily accounting and finance activities of the company.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. They should have the ability to produce financial reports, utilizing software and technology platforms integrated into the business. The candidate should have the ability to adapt and work efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.

System and process creation with support and controls, allows a creative and solid approach to building new operational efficiencies. Tech integrations experience and Quick Books Cloud experience is preferred.
This position reports to the Vice President of Finance. No direct reports.

Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable + Accounts Receivable
- Managing daily revenue and bank activity
- Bank & credit card account reconciliations
- Month end closing activities
- Preparation of financial statements and management reports (monthly and quarterly) plus additional financial analysis as requested
- Must have a clear understanding of accounting for multiple companies and inter-company transactions
- Tax filing and software management, working closely with our independent CPA firm
- Identifies opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency and identifies risk or management issues
- Works as an effective team member to complete project and assignment tasks timely
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance or bookkeeping
- Prior experience working with an E-commerce business, direct-to-consumer experience including technology and related software preferred
- Experience using QuickBooks Cloud preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to operate office equipment and technology
Salary commensurate with experience and fit with qualifications
