Production
Milk Room Operator
Reports to Production Manager.
Purpose of the job:
- To assist in manufacturing Cheese in an effective and efficient manner.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Mixes ingredients following formulas and specifications
- Ability to troubleshoot situations and escalate as needed
- Follow Work instructions from supervisors and Quality Technicians
- Responsible for performing various raw milk and ingredient testing
- Setting and controlling the functions of the Machine
- Maintain ingredient documentation on batch sheets and other documents
- Review and interpret CIP data, troubleshoot CIP non-conformities
- Communicating with Obram Operator/Processor for starting and stopping milk input pumps
- Coordinate with other operators to maintain and monitor tank space and production needs
- Maintain Pasteurizer Legal Chart Documentation
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs the job in a safe and professional manner
- Performs a safety check on the workstation/workplace before conducting work
- Maintains/ensures a clean, safe, and well-organized working environment
- Adheres to company policies, regulations, and rules
- Adheres to Food Health and Safety Regulations and Employee Health and Safety Regulations
- Adhere to legal responsibilities of the: Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Washington Administrative Code
- Additional Duties as assigned/ required that are relevant to the “Essential Functions and Responsibilities” of the job
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Highschool diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working level proficiency in the English Language
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a high-volume number of employees is preferred
- Basic knowledge of Goods Manufacturing Practices, Quality Control in Food Processing, Standard Operation Procedures, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
- Basic of knowledge machine operation
- Advance level in attention to detail
- Basic level in communication skills
- Basic level in math skills
- Ability to adapt to changes
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work: alone/ around others/ with others

Physical Demand:
- Requires frequent: carrying (up to 50 lb) /lifting (up to 50 lb)

- Requires: standing (for extended periods of time)/ walking (for extended periods of time)
Working Conditions:
The employee works in a food production factory and is exposed to an environment consisting of: chemicals, electrical/ mechanical power: equipment/tools, elevated levels, fluctuating hot/ cold temperatures, grease/ oils, hot/ cold: objects/surfaces/substances, humid environment, loud noise level, and wet floors.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
