Essential Job Functions:
- Reporting: Assist in providing reports to the Driver/Operations Manager on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to driver attendance, scheduled departure times, equipment usage, and violations. Help maintain accurate metrics to monitor performance.
- Resource Utilization: Learn to manage and allocate extra board driver resources to ensure high productivity and on-time performance during periods of increased demand or driver absenteeism.
- Vehicle Inspections: Support the oversight of per-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring drivers properly inspect their vehicles and associated equipment (e.g., wheelchair straps, seatbelt extensions, seats, and wheelchairs) before departure.
- Vehicle Staging: Assist in managing vehicle staging to ensure efficient pull-out for the following day.
- Inventory Monitoring: Help monitor vehicle inventory throughout the day to ensure availability and readiness.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Scheduling and Assignment: Assist in coordinating the scheduling and vehicle assignment for drivers, ensuring that each driver is matched with the appropriate capacity vehicle for their route and that all necessary equipment is present and functional.
- Attendance Reporting: Accurately record and report daily driver attendance to the Driver/Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Experience: No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new software, such as Trapeze, for scheduling and dispatching.
Education:
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements:
- Driver’s License and DOT Card: Must maintain a valid driver's license and DOT medical card to move Pace vehicles as needed.
- Technical Proficiency: Willingness to learn scheduling and dispatch software, such as Trapeze.
- Geographical Knowledge: Basic understanding of the local transportation network and traffic flow within the service area.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure a positive public perception of Pace services.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied hours and respond to operational needs as required.
