The Financial Analyst performs accounting and finance activities for facility management services in support of our client. The key duties for this position include allocation of costs across the portfolio, assisting in the preparation of budgets/forecasts, financial reporting and analysis functions for assigned sites/clients, performing month end close duties such as recording journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and performing financial review on a periodic basis. This role should be considered a hybrid between FP&A and accounting.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to excel in a fast paced and customer service-oriented environment. Strong communication, teamwork, computer skills, and attention to detail are necessary in the position.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Prepare monthly cost allocation journal entries based upon client assumptions
Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecast updates
Perform month end close activities, including the preparation of accrual journal entries.
Reconcile JLL reported spend vs. client billings and results.
Assist with the preparation of ad hoc analyses and presentations as required.
Assist with the calculation of fees to create client invoices as needed.
Maintain procedural documentation associated with assigned accounting processes.
Identify and assist Finance Manager in the implementation of process improvements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, JLL Internal Audit and Client Accounting Services SSAE16 internal review standards.
Special projects and other functions as required by manager or client.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
0-2 years of relevant finance/accounting experience
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Excellent oral, listening and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners
Strong accounting / analytical skills and attention to detail required
Strong organizational skills and time management skills
Flexible, adaptable, and persistent with a ‘can do’ attitude
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, effectively prioritize, and manage time and workload to meet client needs
Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
