The Junction City Police Department is a 24-hour/365-day-a-year police agency that provides police services to the community. Junction City Police Department currently has 11 sworn Officers and 5 Communication Officers (Dispatchers), and one support position and is looking to grow with the city. Junction City Police Department has a Municipal Jail and Dispatch Center. Junction City operates a Municipal court for violations and misdemeanor offenses. Candidate Requirements:

At least 21 years of age

Possess a valid Oregon Drivers License before employment.

Pass the Oregon Physical Agility Test (ORPAT)

Achieve passing/acceptable scores on written tests and evaluations.

Achieve a passing score on the oral-board interview.

Pass the Chief's "Command" interview.

Pass an extensive pre-employment background investigation by meeting all agency and state minimum requirements.

Pass an extensive psychological evaluation.

Laterals: Must have a Basic Certificate or higher from DPSST or be able to obtain one within 1 year by passing a PCOD class.
Salary Range (Per Month) for FY 25/26:
$5,043 to $5,560 Training Position Police Officer I
$5,334 to $6,808 Basic Certifications Police Officer II
