Scott Credit Union is looking to hire a full-time Loan Center Consultant to join our amazing Consumer Lending team. This position works Monday thru Friday normal business hours, with a Saturday rotation schedule. The first 60-90 days will be onsite at our home office in Edwardsville, IL for training and then move to a remote schedule.

The Day to Day as a Loan Center Consultant
The Loan Center Consultant is responsible for providing direct support for members using the credit union’s telephone loan service. This person requires an ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members via telephone, email, and chat. The Loan Center Consultant will represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner. A typical day may look like:

Providing direct support for both online and mobile loan applications

Performing prompt, efficient, and accurate processing of member loan requests, including data input, documenting loans, and booking designated unsecured loans.

Analyzing potential lending and cross selling opportunities involved in each lending situation to further assist the borrower as well as increase the credit union’s lending portfolio.

Accountable for meeting individual sales and lending goals through the telephone channels.

Operating a computer to accurately access account information, support telephone applications, and generally update member account transactions and information.

Performing other lending functions as required and assisting others to complete tasks and work assignments.

Assisting with the virtual application processing during peak times, or when designated by management team.

Responding to routine member inquiries regarding lending products, services, and applications.

Processing Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) applications through the telephone channel.

Responsible for telephone loan queue, answering general loan questions, processing ACH payments, and completing of reoccurring payments.

To Be Considered, You’ll Need:

A High School Diploma or GED
-
Experience working in a financial institution or call center

Personal computer experience, including Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications That Could Set You Ahead:

Consumer lending experience

Mobile device experience to include iOS, Android or Windows 10
Pay Range/Salary Range:
The typical pay range for this role is: $18.00 to $23.50 per hour.
