Join our dynamic team, where we're dedicated to advancing the field of immunogenetics, histocompatibility, and transplantation immunology. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for a multitude of tests in relation to organ transplantation. Your primary duties include:
- Conduct and document laboratory tests with precision and accuracy; tests include immunophenotyping assays and flow cytometry.
- Perform quality control tasks meticulously, adhering to protocols set by manufacturers, department guidelines, ASHI, the State Department of Health, and other regulatory bodies.
- Accurately enter and retrieve data using the Medical Center LIS and UIC LIS systems, ensuring consistency as reviewed by supervisors or senior staff.
- Complete CAP survey samples and competency exams accurately and within designated time frames.
- Utilize and maintain equipment according to manufacturer and laboratory standards.
Salary Range: $51.76 – $68.97/hour. Effective 7/8/24, salary range increases to $53.31/hour - $71.04/hour.
