Our Case Managers and Visitation Facilitators collaborate with our community partners to directly advocate for at-risk children and families, providing critical needs assessments, prevention and intervention services, parenting and father engagement courses, progress monitoring, and supervised parenting time.
Job Description:
Case Workers advocate for clients and families involved with the Department of Children and Family Services. They are responsible for the well-being of their clients and guide them through the processes and regulations related to their cases. They provide support and supervision to clients/families in need of supervised parenting time with their children. Case Workers often attend virtual court sessions on their case and provide recommendations. Lastly, Case Workers will maintain case and agency paperwork according to DCS standards, prepare session and monthly reports with provider software, and collaborate with other providers on the team and within the agency.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or criminal justice
- Associate degree with 2-4 years experience working with DCS
- Ability to travel between appointments in order to service clients within their community, homes or public places according to the referral
- Must be experienced working with The Department of Child Services
- Effective communication, time management and writing skills
- Must be trustworthy, honest, and have a desire to serve others
- Training will be provided; Ongoing training will be provided
THIS IS AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR/1099 POSITION
- You must be able to pass a National FBI Check; National Sex Offender; Child Protective Services Check; and Local Background Checks
- You must have a clean, valid driver's license and proper insurance and carseats when transporting children to visits.
- You will be operating as your own business within the boundaries of the agency requirements and the Department of Child Services.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
