Phoenix Associates Counseling Services Inc. is seeking a part time Licensed Professional Counselor (or Associate) to join our team! This position will work with our U.S. Federal Probation clients at our Dallas outpatient location for approximately 15 hours per week. The position has the potential to move into a full time role depending on future census. Experience with addiction is preferred as many of our client have co-occurring disorders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform initial and ongoing mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for identified individuals
- Conduct individual counseling sessions
- Consult with medical providers regarding complex patients
- Effectively communicate with and educate clients on treatment options, methods and techniques
- Establish and obtain client rapport by demonstrating warmth, realness, and empathy
- Communicate and build rapport with probation officers as it relates to client treatment and progress
- Organize work time and perform required functions in a timely manner
- Accurately document all services in our EHR
- Complete and submit monthly progress reports for all clients
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and to DSHS established documentation standards
- Observe confidentiality requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an LPC or LPC Associate licensure in the State of Texas
- If an Associate, is under the supervision of an LPC-S with documented hours
- 2 years of full-time experience in outpatient mental health counseling preferred
- Experience working with offender population preferred
- Experience in substance abuse counseling is preferred
- Experience with an EHR/EMR system
- Computer proficiency required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional
- Superior time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

- Ability to motivate, confront and self-disclose
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
