About the Position
DiBerardino McGovern IP Group (DMIP Group) is looking for a highly motivated Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for law, a strong work ethic, excellent organizational and multitasking skills, a desire to work from home for a virtual law practice, a professional and proactive approach to work, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and set priorities.
Duties include:
- Preparing and filing of U.S. patent applications and PCT applications
- Preparing and filing of responses in U.S. and PCT patent applications
- Preparing templates and formal documents
- Reviewing and preparing communications with foreign patent counsel
- Communicating and coordinating with docketing team and on occasion or as needed, assisting with docketing
- Assisting with intake of new clients and new matters in all systems, including accounting system
- Reviewing and managing vendor bills
- Setting up wire transfers and e-payments
- Interfacing with external accounting team
- Interfacing with clients and vendors
Requirements:
- Familiarity with USPTO procedures and the USPTO’s Electronic Filing System (EFS) and Electronic Patent Assignment System (EPAS)
- Experience with docketing of U.S. and non-U.S. patent deadlines
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the Adobe suite
- The ideal candidate will have experience with one of more of the following: FoundationIP docketing interface, PCT-SAFE, and QuickBooks
- Strong organizational skills are needed to keep track of deadlines and case files
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
