The cashier is responsible for receiving and receipting all monies for the college, and making sure deposits are made in a timely manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The results you will deliver each day that matter most!

Perform daily cashiering functions, daily bank deposits and reconciling of cash

Records and receipts payments received during the day and during events

Maintain required petty cash reconciliation

Maintain files, process payments for Internal College transactions such as rental receipts, check copies, returned checks and etc.

Verifies and records donation deposits from Institutional Advancement Office.

Print edit reports for each batch of deposited funds.

Records electronic fund transfers (EFT) and reconcile with the transmittal document.

Verifies student account balances for the purpose of accepting payment for transcript request.

Assist with Student Account duties.
Education/ Experience
What you will need to be successful!

Associates Degree in Accounting or Business required or equivalent education and experience; Bachelor preferred
-
2 year’s experience with accounting and cashiering function preferred

Attentive listening skills with the ability to help others communicate ideas and thoughts, multi task
-
Competencies Excellent customers’ service, math skills, computer skills, need to have an understanding of student financial aid and student accounts.

Able to communicate verbally and in writing, clear and effectively
-
Jenzabar experience preferred
