Position: Maintenance Team Member
Position Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Work Hours: Second Shift (flexible afternoon, evening and potentially weekend hours)
Compensation: $19 - $22/hr., paid Holidays
General Description:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for routine cleaning, general maintenance tasks, and event setup/breakdown.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Perform routine cleaning of bathrooms, classrooms, offices, stairwells and floors.
Set up and break down tables, chairs & refreshments for meetings and events.
Move furniture, equipment and supplies in preparation for larger events or maintenance projects.
Maintain organization, cleanliness and stock of storage areas.
Assist in general building maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
Complete assigned tasks and tend to maintenance/custodial requests in a timely manner.
Based on experience, qualifications and availability, other duties and responsibilities may be established.
Position Requirements:
A high school degree or its equivalent is required.
Must be able to routinely lift 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to sustain mobility for long periods (walking, lifting, bending).
Must be able to communicate with visitors, volunteers and fellow staff.
All Maintenance Staff should have previous experience in serving in a similar role.
Criminal background check required.
Position Preferences:
Experience in HVAC (boiler, chiller, electric, automation)
Experience in floor care (scrubbing, buffing, strip & wax)
