RN Unit Manager
Groton Community Health Care Center (GCHCC) is an 80-bed not-for-profit residential healthcare facility with leading edge expertise. Located in the Finger Lakes Region of NY State, in the tranquil village of Groton, NY, GCHCC is committed to excellence, integrity, professionalism, compassion, caring and warmth from our staff. GCHCC is seeking a results-oriented RN Unit Manager, with experience in post-acute and long-term care services.
Þ The RN Unit Manager directs the overall operation of the assigned residential unit to ensure the highest degree of quality care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Þ Must be currently licensed (unencumbered) Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York.
Þ Must have five (1) years of progressive supervisory experience in a long-term care setting.
Þ Must have strong leadership skills and be able to lead a team of nursing staff, as well as help foster a team atmosphere with the nursing department
Þ Must be able to teach and lead by example
Þ Liaisons with residents, families, and support departments to adequately plan for resident needs
Þ Must be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the long-term care facility in New York State.
Þ Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
Þ Must have a working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems (EMR)
Þ Must display integrity and professionalism
Compensation for the successful candidate includes:
Þ Status: Full Time
Þ Annual Salary Range: $74,100.00 - $78,000.00
Þ Distribution: Weekly
