Lead Maintenance Technician
Larken Associates is looking for an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for 100+ unit multifamily community to oversee apartment renovations. Ideal candidate must have the ability and work ethic to perform in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities are to assist in and oversee apartment renovations to complete apartment turnovers, assist with service requests and maintain community grounds.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Oversee, participate in and direct team members in areas of apartment renovations.
· Communicate and schedule vendors/subcontractors on an as needed basis.
· Diagnose and repair problems in areas such as electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency lighting, flooring, and hardware accessories
· Communicate efficiently with Property Manager
· Ensure apartment renovations are completed by necessary move in date and/or within company time frame guidelines
·Install drywall, countertops, appliances and other necessary installations. Remove existing carpet, spackle and painting of renovated units.
·Work with Property Manager to handle supply ordering and maintaining necessary inventory.
· Participate in and oversee on-call rotation to ensure 24-hour emergency maintenance response with a focus on customer service satisfaction
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of management experience
· 5+ years of apartment maintenance experience
· Ability to complete tasks by deadlines
· Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities
· Must be available for on-call rotation including nights/weekends/holidays
· Excellent communication skills
· Must have own basic tools
· Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
