Essential Job Functions
- Manage the payment process for tenants, shareholders and owners to ensure rents are paid on time and correctly.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledgers for various residential properties.
- Coordinate audits with client accountants and independent CPA firms.
- Create and maintain work papers in support of account balances.
- Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Provide administrative support to Senior Accountants.
- Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed and when requested.
- For assigned properties, ensure that financial records which reach the materiality level are 100% accurate according to internal and GAAP standards.
- Close year-end reports in a timely manner to meet auditor and building board schedules.
- Meet client monthly reporting deadlines.
- Must be present with the ability to move throughout our corporate office to address property related matters, ensuring effective communication with staff, vendors, and visitors.
- Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
- A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience within the real estate industry, residential real estate experience preferred.
- CPA license preferred.
- Manages multiple priorities with time management techniques and flexibility in task prioritization.
- Exhibit an understanding of the interaction among the accounting processes, regulatory requirements and customer needs and makes suggestions to improve operating efficiency or effectiveness.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, adept at managing multiple inquiries with time-sensitive deadlines; possesses excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in navigating computers and property management software, to include AVID, ClickPay, Yardi, MRI and Microsoft Office, particularly pivot tables, macros and VLOOKUPS.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
