Our Chicago office is seeking a detail-oriented Futures Operations Associate to join our dynamic team and specialize in critical control functions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the futures markets, excellent quantitative skills, and a proven ability to make informed decisions in fast-paced environments. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within our Futures division.
- Coordinate internal and external trade transfers, ensuring seamless execution and compliance

Conduct thorough trade checks and review LTD/FND products to uphold operational integrity

Ensure accurate reconciliation of exchange and carry broker positions and funds to XTP

Investigate and resolve client and trade inquiries in a timely manner, ensuring regulatory compliance and issue remediation

Serve as a primary interface with clients, exchanges, and broker firms regarding trade-related issues

Facilitate smooth and efficient physical delivery process of traded commodities such as corn, gold, lumber, and others

Facilitate block trades by properly allocating them to clients while ensuring regulatory reporting compliance

Acquire proficiency in the firm's systems to effectively execute operational tasks and support trading activities

Generate daily operational reports, conduct controls, and identify emerging risk trends for proactive management

Facilitate exchange and carry brokers' position close-outs as required

Manage executing broker trade allocations promptly and accurately

Perform other duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills:-
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field

1 year minimum of experience in futures trading, portfolio management, or a related quantitative field preferred but not required

Strong financial analytical skills required with proficiency in quantitative analysis techniques

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions

Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization

Working knowledge of trading platforms, order management systems, and market data providers highly preferred
- Familiarity with futures markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles highly preferred
- Experience with trading support preferred but not required

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in futures trading preferred but not required

Discretionary compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $48,000-$65,000.
