Store hours are 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday - Saturday.
Our ideal candidate will have flexibility in their schedule to work as needed. Currently that schedule would typically consist of 2-3 week days and usually 2 Saturdays per month.
Schedules are provided 1 month at a time.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide quality customer service within the Liquor Store. Responsible for maintaining standards in accordance with the standard practice manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of standard practice.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Smile and maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, easy, flexible and friendly customer service all while creating a positive shopping experience for customers. Model outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills and knowledge of department products to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations. Perform duties that ensure department appearance, quality, variety workplace safety, and department sanitation are consistently maintained. Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Process all various types of sales transactions accepted by the store in accordance with established company policies and procedures including full compliance with any legal requirements or regulations governing same. Secure register at all times when leaving it unattended; protect company assets at all times. Verify customer IDs presented and observe store policies pertaining to the acceptance of checks and the sale of alcoholic beverages. Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices. Maintain security standards. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Must be 21 years of age and be of good moral character.
Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills. Ability to effectively communicate and provide customer service. Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Ability to use technical information to solve problems. Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions. Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 40 lbs. frequently, and 60 lbs. on occasion. Pull or push up to 75 lbs. on occasion. Stand 100% of the time with frequently walking short distances. Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials, and household cleaners. Perform repetitive hand and arm motions. Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level: occasionally above shoulder or below waist level. Meet established volume activity standards for the position. Have sufficient visual ability to check ID cards, invoices and other written documents
